Tumblr releases security patches "very important" for iOS
Tumblr launched an iOS app updated on Tuesday that includes a "security update important" to face an internal fault.

In a company blog, the micro-blogging site owned by Yahoo urged users of its iOS application "please download this update now" and change their passwords on the site as well as other places in which to use the same password.

The issue of security, the nature of which has not been described in the post, apparently does not apply to the version of Android that has been issued updates to this application.

Yahoo did not immediately respond to CNET's request for more information, but he said that TheNextWeb only became aware of the vulnerability Tuesday:

Today, Tumblr has been informed of a security implemented in our iOS application. Immediately issued an update that fixes the problem and inform the users. Obviously, we take these incidents very seriously and deeply regret this error.

The micro-blogging site, which boasts more than 300 million unique visitors per month, was acquired by Yahoo last month for $ 1.1 billion.
